When Nike asked Lebron James and Kobe Bryant what they remember about off-season as children, they recalled water fights, jumping into pools, and relentlessly perfecting their craft. For kids dedicated to basketball, off-season is never just a time for rest, but a time to practice, to play, and to be a kid. The Summer 2015 collection of Nike Kids basketball shoes were designed to reflect this sentiment. Each of the four shoes was created with a particular theme in mind, including water sports, ice cream trucks, and funky textures taken straight from elements of the actual shoes. UK-based illustrators La Boca incorporated their futuristic aesthetic in a one-of-a-kind atmosphere to accompany each shoe, taking cues from the stories told by Lebron and Kobe and their own imaginations. The results are funky, whimsical, and undeniably sporty.
The entire collection, which includes four distinct illustrations, is available now.
