TrujilloPaumier: Oaxaca

TrujilloPaumier was featured in the Eating Out section of this week’s issue of  The New Yorker in an article called “Land of the Seven Moles.” Joaquin and Brian don’t just tell a visual story about the Oaxaca food scene, they also contribute personal experiences. Joaquin says, “Oaxaca never lets me forget how blessed I am that I learned how to cook from my mother and sisters. They would always say, ‘Measure with feeling and never forget the most important ingredient, which is love.’ ” Brian Paumier told us, “To eat in Oaxaca is eating how the Tolteca ate a thousand years ago—nothing has changed much but the introduction of European livestock. I am always first in line for the culinary time machine called Oaxaca.”
