If you could be anywhere right now, where would that be?

NYC right now please!!! Its been far too long since I’ve been over and I really want to see the city in the Fall this year.

What themes do you pursue in your work?

I have always loved the use of bold color, minimalist styling and geometric framing.

What items/treasures live on your desk, year round?

I have a small wooden owl that my youngest son brought me back from trip to North Africa. A pencil sharpener shaped like a Rolleiflex camera my eldest son gave me and some hilarious notes my daughter sent me in the post when she was about 3 years old. Also there is a lovely photo of me and my wife at a friends in Italy when we were about 28 and I still have hair

What work do you most enjoy doing?

To be honest I love all sorts photography but if I absolutely had to choose it would be some classic still life or classic portraiture. Super simple, stylised and pared back for both.

What’s your favourite colour?

I think my family would say Navy as pretty much all of my clothes are shades of that. I am very into burnt oranges and deep reds and blues in my photos though.

Describe a real-life situation that inspired you?

The tearing down of the Berlin Wall. It was the fist time I can remember feeling really inspired by a truly historical event that was happening right there and then.
